Choosing Colors for a Website

Website colors should support the content.

You do not need a lot of colors. One main color, one accent color, and a few neutral shades are enough for many sites.

Check readability

Make sure text is easy to read on every background. If a section looks nice but the words are hard to see, the design is not finished yet.

Good color choices make the site feel branded without getting in the way.
